Privacy Policy

Last updated: 18 May 2026.

Who we are

Augmene is an independent research and development initiative. This Privacy Policy explains what data the augmene.com website and contact form collect, how it is used, and how to request its deletion. Enquiries about this policy can be sent to info@augmene.com.

Information we collect via this website

When you submit the contact form on this site, we collect: the name, email address, enquiry type, and message you provide; the date and time of submission; and limited technical metadata about the request (your IP address, browser user-agent string, and referring URL) for spam protection and rate limiting.

This information is stored in our Firebase Firestore database (Google Cloud, EU/US regions) and forwarded by email to the team mailbox for reply.

Analytics

With your consent (via the cookie banner shown on first visit), we use two analytics tools to understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it:

  • Google Analytics 4 — operated by Google LLC. Records anonymised page views, scroll depth, link clicks, and the geographic region of visitors. IP addresses are anonymised before storage.
  • Microsoft Clarity — operated by Microsoft Corporation. Records aggregated heatmaps and session replays. Form input values are automatically masked before recording.

Both tools place cookies in your browser. Neither loads if you reject the cookie banner. You can withdraw consent at any time by clearing the cookieConsent entry from this site's storage in your browser.

How we use information

Contact form submissions are read by the Augmene team and used to reply to your enquiry. We do not sell or share contact submissions with third parties. Analytics data is used in aggregated form to evaluate which pages and content are useful, and to identify usability issues.

Legal basis

We process contact form submissions on the basis of your consent in submitting the form, and to take steps to respond to your enquiry. Analytics data is processed on the basis of your cookie-banner consent.

Retention

Contact submissions are retained for as long as is reasonably necessary to respond to the enquiry and follow up where appropriate. Analytics data is retained per the default retention settings of the respective tools (currently 14 months for Google Analytics 4; up to 13 months for Microsoft Clarity).

Your rights

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal data we hold about you by emailing info@augmene.com. We will respond within 30 days.

Updates to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the project evolves. The "Last updated" date at the top of the page reflects the most recent change.
